The creators behind Kentucky-based candle and apothecary brand Wicked Obscura are on a mission to bring a little light to people’s lives with their handmade crystal and intention-filled candles — literally and figuratively.
“I guess it’s a little corny for me to say this, but it really is a way for me to bring light into someone’s life, to like shine a little bit of light into their life,” said Founder and CEO Kayla Spelling. “To show that, no matter what darkness we are experiencing, that there is still some love and still some light in this world.”
That goal to do good and be a bright spot in people’s lives comes from the heart for the Kentucky made brand because Kayla and her mom Julie Spelling — a co-owner of Wicked Obscura — have seen up-close the power of a good candle.
