Igniting the Fight for LGBTQ+ Equality with the NKY Pride Center

This June, you’re invited to join us in celebrating a wicked cool cause: the Northern Kentucky Pride Center!

Located in Covington, KY, the NKY Pride Center is dedicated to providing services and programming for LGBTQ+ residents of Northern Kentucky, and to advancing equity and inclusion efforts in Kentucky and beyond.

At Wicked Obscura, Covington, KY is our cherished home, and we're committed to supporting our community by spreading love and inclusivity. Recognizing the incredible work the NKY Pride Center does for the Northern Kentucky community, we're dedicated to helping them secure the resources they need to continue their vital mission.

The Center’s signature event, the annual Northern Kentucky PrideFest and Parade, is celebrating its 15th year in 2024.

Since its inception, NKY Pride has grown from a small festival in Mainstrasse to a week-long celebration of Pride that now attracts thousands of people and includes other festivities such as a teen/youth party, a “Queers with Gears” community bike ride, and a kickoff party at Braxton Brewing Company.

The NKY Pride Center also hosts a wide variety of other programs throughout the year, including “Netwerq” Wednesdays, LGBTQ+ teen book clubs with the Kenton County Public Library, LGBTQ+ advocacy seminars, and beyond.

Additionally, each fall the Center hosts the NKY Pride Community Awards, dedicated to recognizing the individuals and organizations making an impact and leading the way toward LGBTQ+ equity in the Northern Kentucky region.

We’re proud to support the incredible and important work that our friends at the NKY Pride Center are doing, and 15% of every purchase of our Rainbow Rhapsody Pride Soy Candle will be donated to the Center throughout the month of June.
